Metal casting.

"In metalworking, casting involves pouring liquid metal into mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape and then allowing it to cool and solidify. The solidified part is also known as a casting, which is ejected or broken out of the mold to complete the process."

This is how metal casting is described in technical terms, but now what you are going to see will give you goosebumps. Tomorrow will be the inauguration of 6th Annual Display of Surat School of Fine Arts, see how students have worked before the main display in the process of metal casting.

Invitation for 6th Annual Display

The art making process is often referred as an introvert self searching process. It becomes very complicated for one to experience any work of art rather than the visual value of it. Like the tendencies that derives one artist to work in a work of art. This trajectory of understanding and experiencing is best faced by an art student. In the current scenario of huge display places seldom have we seen proper exhibitions conducted for the students or by the students which shares the concern of art making process in a better manner. Surat school of Fine Arts is having its 6^th Annual display, a display entirely organised and prepared by the students with help of the faculties. The institute is known for its unique and distinguishable taste for art making and its mature sense of display.

Surat school of fine arts welcomes you all in its 6^th Annual display. Starting from 24^th April 2015 and which will meet its end by 28^th of the same month. Each day of the display will be unfolding many layers of contemporary art practice with interactive discussions with some great art practitioners. ­­­­Your presence will help this initiative to grow.
